A private journal for each object: what you write, the photos you add and the messages you record stay encrypted, visible only to the members you invite, and follow the object the day it changes hands.

Every contribution is dated and credited to its author. The story is built chronologically, without ever erasing what came before.
Photograph
An image tells it differently. Add up to five photos to each memory and give them a caption. JPEG, PNG or WebP. Photos open full screen in a gallery.
Record your voice
Some stories deserve to be heard. Record a voice message of five minutes at most. You listen back before publishing, and you can start again.
Choose a future date and time: the entry stays private until then, and appears on its own to you and the other members. Like a letter you receive.
Relatives can react to the memories shared and leave a message to carry on the story around the object.
Filter by content type or search the journal. Scheduled entries appear separately until they are published.
Get an email when a member adds an entry to the journal of an object you follow. This notification can be turned off from your profile.
One serial number, one account.
An object is described by its type, its brand, its model and its serial number.
The serial number is unique
A number already on file is refused: two accounts cannot claim the same piece.
Watches first
The catalogue of brands and models covers watchmaking today. The data model already anticipates other families: jewellery and objets d'art, each with its own catalogue.
Several objects per account
Add a piece from the dashboard at any time. You can also create your account with no object at all and register one later.
No password
You sign in with a link sent by email, valid once and for a few minutes. Nothing to remember, nothing to leak.
Share the object, never the account.
A spouse, a child, a business partner: invite them as co-owners. Each keeps their own account, their own sign-in and their own name under the entries they write.
Every object's “Members” page names the primary owner, the active co-owners, your own permissions and any invitations still pending.

View the object and its journal, write new entries, update the reference and invite other co-owners.

What they cannot do
Transfer the object. Only the primary owner can start a full transfer, so a co-owner cannot remove the person who invited them.

Revoking access
A revocation takes effect immediately. A beneficiary cannot revoke their own active access through this route.
Passing an object on.
From Patinae, you can transfer ownership of an object to someone close to you. The recipient is invited by email, even if they have no account yet: they will create one through a dedicated form, without having to register an object of their own.
On acceptance, they become the object's new custodian and carry its story on: the full journal follows, current and pending access is revoked, and the event is recorded. Nothing is left half transferred.
