Yes. Sign-up offers to create a first piece or to continue without an object. You can add one from the dashboard whenever you like.

Watches, today: the catalogue of brands and models covers watchmaking. The data model already anticipates jewellery and objets d'art, each with its own catalogue.

Because it is already registered in Patinae. A serial number identifies one piece and one only: two accounts cannot claim the same object. If you believe someone has registered a piece that belongs to you, contact us.

Only the author of an entry can edit or delete it. An edited entry is marked “Edited”. Deletion is final and takes the photos attached to it.

To write something today that will only appear later. The entry stays private until the chosen date, then becomes visible to every member, you included.

Five photos per entry at most, in JPEG, PNG or WebP. Voice notes last five minutes maximum. Total storage depends on your plan; beyond it, the upload is refused before anything is stored.

Co-ownership adds someone: you stay the primary owner, and that person can view, write to the journal, update the reference and invite other co-owners. A transfer replaces the owner: it is final and revokes all other access.

No. Only the primary owner can start a full transfer. It is a rule of the product, not an agreement between users.

Yes. The invitation goes to an email address; the person creates their account through a dedicated form, without having to register an object, then finds the invitation waiting.

Yes, it has a validity period. The recipient can resend themselves a new link from their invitations: the previous one then becomes invalid and the clock restarts.

No, not once accepted. That is what makes ownership credible: without that finality, a journal would prove nothing. As long as the invitation has not been accepted, you can revoke it.

Every piece of content in your journal is encrypted individually. The encryption keys are kept separately from the data and from its backups. Patinae favours transparent security, with no misleading promise of end-to-end encryption.

The journal and the media are deleted. The access-log records remain in a form that contains no content, no serial number and no direct identity.
